M*A*S*H, 1970 film starring  Donald Sutherland, Elliott Gould, Tom Skerritt and more.  This is the movie that inspired the popular, long running series on tv.  It is the comedic story of the doctor’s of a mobile army hospital during the Korean war.  The doctor’s use comedy, hijinks and lots of booze to cope with the horrors of war, a war they did not ask to take part in.

Hawkeye and Trapper (Sutherland and Gould) make a great pair in this, what is now known as, a cult classic.  The producers and director had a very small budget for the film and hire these relatively unknown actors of the time and let them go.  They adlibbed a lot and had a pure good old time.

I grew up watching MASH so it was no doubt I would have this in my collection but so should you.  It is a timeless classic that I have watched many times and will do again.
