Vice, 2018 film starring Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Steve Carell and Sam Rockwell. Obviously written by a Liberal and this film shows it!
It’s the story of Dick Cheney(Bale) and his rise to power as vice president under George W Bush(Rockwell). From his days as CEO of Halliburton to when Bush asked him to be his Republican running mate in the 2000 presidential election. Cheney’s impressive past includes rolls as White House chief of staff, House Minority Whip and defense secretary. Once Vice president he begins to use and expand his powers to help shape the country as he see’s it should be.
Now don’t get me wrong, the acting was great by all involved. Some big, talented names. The film however came off as a leftest piece of propaganda. It is very unfortunate that Hollywood and it’s actors view themselves as superior influencers for the Liberals because it blinds them to reality and shows the whole country how transparent and manipulative they can be. To that end, is what we saw on screen really true or just spun so the Republicans look bad?
Like I said, the acting was great and the make-up and costumes were fantastic which is why they won the Oscar for Best Achievement in Makeup and Hairstyling. (But that is the only Oscar it was worthy as) All the actors did a fine job but under the direction Adam McKay the whole story came off as a shameful political stunt.
Hollywood needs to listen up and stop being so politically divisive. They are supposed to be unbiased and out to make great entertainment not lie and try to convince us that their ideals should be followed. How stupid do they think this country is now?
Aside from my rant here, of which I will not apologize, the film was good but not worthy of repeated viewings.
