Big Trouble

Big Trouble, 2002 film starring  Tim Allen, Rene Russo, Stanley Tucci, Johnny Knoxville and more…   Sleeper hit for me, never seen before but will again.

A story about the lives of several different people in Miami who’s paths will cross in one blundering, hilarious finale!  From advertising agents, gun runners, FBI agents, cops to school kids all end up together when a chain of events starts with the arrival of a mysterious metal case at the airport.

Like I said, this was a sleeper hit for me, I had never heard of it!  Very underrated comedy.  There was so much going on but you could follow it and man, did I ever catch myself laughing out loud a few times.  Zooey Deschanel and Sofía Vergara seemed sooo young!  Tim Allen of course is a great comedian and knew that a film like this, filled with slapstick type comedy would be awesome!

I think whoever was in charge of promoting this film failed big time.  It was great.  A film with so many big stars in it with this kind of comedy and the very decent story it had should have been a box office winner.  Now I don’t know what films it was competing with in it’s 02 premier, that may have something to do with it.  I do know it cost a lot to make and only returned a small percentage of that but again, promotion is key!

You will enjoy this film.  It’s filled with a ton of comedy, great one liners and actors that know how to pull it off.  Funny stuff, glad I came across it.
