Boseman plays T’Challa, a young prince who now takes over as King after his fathers death. He now rules Wakanda, a technologically advanced civilization that lives on earth hidden from everyone for centuries. Now, it seems there is a threat to their isolation. A young man called Erik Killmonger (Jordan), son of T’Challa’s uncle who died at the hands of his father, returns to Wakanda to challenge for the throne and wins. Now the Black Panther must stop Killmonger from spreading Wakanda’s far superior weapons to countries around the globe.
This was better than I expected but not as thrilling as billed by the critics. By mixed feelings I was given the impression that the film was biased against all non blacks as the cast was 95% black. I understand why after watching the film, It is about an African Nation so why wouldn’t it. So now lets put color aside, the story was good, I did get caught up in it. The cgi was fantastic as it needed to be but in some scenes it was way over done. I wasn’t much of fan of Jordan in the film, I still think he needs more acting lessons but the rest of the primary cast was good. There are mixed reviews on this film so I am giving it a three out of five because it was good and re-watchable. Hopefully Marvel gets it better in the next one. This film was way over rated and billed as the best Marvel one yet which I am sorry, it is not. Still cant beat the Avengers or Guardians!
